Pasta is my comfort food and this restaurant is my favorite! Date night, anniversary, birthday, whatever the celebration may be, Luigi’s is the place to go!! The Alfredo is my go-to, but if I’m feeling fancy, the steak and shrimp is phenomenal. And you can never go wrong with the cheesecake for dessert!

All tables were full the night we went so it was a bit noisy. The live guitar player was wonderful, very talented and read the room and played to the mood, tipped him well! The escargot champagne appetizer was disappointing. The escargot was shriveled and tasteless. I had the veal Bella Boco, my wife had the veal luigie special. Both were disappointing, Bella boco was overcooked and chewy, my wife said hers was tough and seemed over cooked. We're going to try then again, but we're going to order veal dishes that are litmus tests for Italian restaurants. We'll order Veal Piccata & Veal Saltimbocca, which we've had hundreds of times in every major US metropolitan city, and Europe as well. Will update after second trip.

I had shrimp scampi app, and chicken mofiosa. Both delicious! Nice wine selection by the glass. Phillip provided superior service to our 11 person group. Luigi’s is always a special treat. Been dining here for many years. Never disappointed. Highly recommended!!

We went Christmas Eve. Outside we picture it would be a pizzeria but inside it’s very upscale for this area. Friendly service and the food was good. I didn’t find anything outstanding but it was good enough to make me want to try some more dishes. They offer generous portions and nice selection despite it being a holiday menu. He got seafood scamp and I got chicken parm. We also got a calamari. He got fudge cake and I had cannoli. The cake was enough for 2. Super rich and decadent. It was almost too rich for me but good. Parking was nice. Inside was clean and they have a nice patio area.

After canceling reservations at Carrabba’s we decided on a last min pick and so glad we picked Luigi’s! Best authentic Italian food in Roanoke. Thanks to this place I will never go back to Olive Garden again 😂 but seriously this place was really great! Service was excellent and the food was amazing! I will have to come back and try everything else on the menu! We started with escargot on mushroom caps in a lemon wine sauce, and shrimp cocktail, along with fresh made bruschetta, all great! The for the meal we had a angel hair pasta with veal, scallops, and shrimp; and the chicken francese which was so good! Chicken was moist, tender, and juicy and the sauce was to die for! Our server was very nice and the staff was great. This place has a great family feel and its a very comfy place to have a nice dinner! Can’t wait to be back!
